Only 13 days until Christmas. The year is almost done and a new one on the way!!!!
   We had rain all day today, but I am confident we will have a white Christmas.
   Starting my cookie baking tomorrow, next week is my breads, so will be busy for the next week or so. Hope all are getting their things done for the holidays. I do what I can and try not to get too stressed or over worked. If it doesn't get done, that is alright.

Wednesday, November 16,2011 Deer Season

Yesterday was the first day of deer hunting season here. It is as big as a national holiday, even the schools close for the first day of hunting. I personally am not a hunter, but I do like to eat venison occasionally, but do not know many that I could get some from.
Winter is fast approaching. No snow on the ground, but it is only 19 degrees right now. I am not a cold weather person.
Getting ready for a big craft sale next weekend. I knit and crochet hats, scarves, mittens, fingerless gloves, slippers, soap on a rope, toaster covers, jar covers, you name it, I make it. I design most of my own items and use very few patterns.
Thanksgiving dinner is half boughten, will get the rest this weekend. I will be smoking the turket this year. Since I started smoking them this past summer, that is the only way to cook them now. I love them smoked!!!! Only 4 of us for dinner, but I make enough for 10 more if needed. Love turkey, we have on about every other month.
Plan on doing more on my blog once this craft show is out of the way. Right now it is taking most of my time.

Today I am making homemade pizza for supper. I make my crust in my bread machine. I makes the best crust. Tonight is what they call here Devil's night. Kids get into all kinds of mischief, but mostly like to start fires all over. It get dangerous when there are so many dead leaves on the ground right now. I am hoping there is no major damage tonight. Maybe not with there being school tomorrow. Trick or treating is from 4:30-6:30 tomorrow. We had so many kids last year, even big kids with cigarettes in their mouths!!! LOL!!!
As soon as things settle down here some I plan on writing weekly on here and adding a recipe annd maybe a craft project or pattern of some kind, so just keep looking at my blog.
Hope all you easterners that got dumped on with snow get your power back on very soon. We don't want to see anyone freezing. What a Halloween treat!!!!!

Today there is a nip in the air, 26 degrees. I am not a winter person, but know I cannot hibernate either. Today is housecleaning day and hope to get alot accomplished. We shall see. I never get all done that I want to.

October 25, 2001 Our 25th Wedding Anniversay!!!!!

Today is our 25th wedding anniversary. Were did the time go? Seem like just a couple of years ago!!! We are going out for dinner with son and daughter, no big celebrations.
